Three Months Later...

Shiroi and Ivan! I wanted to try a softer look with thin lines. Turned out pretty good and I enjoyed it.

And Here is a simple LT "doll" I made in about two hours. :) Blogger did weird compression things to it...I would like to offer these as possible commissions in the future.

So far this year art has been... Alright for me. Nothing too exciting. Still helping with Drawing with Mark and I'm happy to say that things are looking really good! We are done with all the horrendous masking-over-the-creepy-puppet phase! It's all green screen from here. I've been altering parts of my resume and websites lately... Searching here and there for jobs. I feel like my art is suffering because I've been bogged down with trying to get a day job, still. Ho-hum. So that doesn't put me in the best of moods.

I've also been getting back into sewing! Mostly small dolls... I'll have to add a separate entry for them soon and maybe talk about my experience for far.

Family Day Pt. 2

A second poster I made. This was something extra I suggested and got an okay to do. I think it turned out super cute. @w@ I did the people in Illustrator and finished in Photoshop. Both pieces are different and they taught me a lot!

Family Day Pt. 1

This is a 20x16 poster I did for ASU's up coming Family Day in September! I think it's pretty much done we're just working on finishing the text?
Overall, I had fun and liked how it turned out. But it took so long to complete it (nearly 6 months) that I fell, eh, about some of the earlier parts. My client likes it so I'm happy too. :> YAY FOR MY FIRST FREELANCE PROJECT! \m/
PS: Blogger's new design feels icky and weird. :S

BUTT DRAGON

LT encounters a native BUTT DRAGON in the forest!
The BUTT DRAGON is the only species of dragon found outside of Dragon Continent. This is due to the fact that BUTT DRAGONS obtain all of their nourishment from the succulent BOOTY FRUIT grown only in deciduous forests. Most individuals are repulsed by the BUTT DRAGONS frequent flatulence, however if one can get past this natural habit, they will enjoy this critters docile and curious nature.

1 of 2 Big posts, TEGAKIE

I NEED TO UPLOAD PICTURES!! But I have collected so many over the past few weeks that I should do it within two posts. =(

First I would like to say that my end of the year critique went well. =) They loved Kevin and Hops and encouraged me to be more of myself in my work and do more crazy things! Also, by request I'm uploading my tegekiE drawings here. You can view my tegakiE page HERE!!!

Hope it wasn't too long. I don't have much to say about these haha.

gaaaaay

---Illustration; Marker(sketch)---

yeah I can use markers. even though they are fun I hardly use them. For the past few days I've been drawing with pens in my sketch book and then I decided to do these the other day.
Sketch cards of Todd, Sota, and Shelly.
Todd looks as if he's on 'roids and his face looks too young. I experimented on sota's hair and used yellow/greens but they look weird on the computer but at the same time I like it because it reflects his personality. and Shelly...uhh. I dunno. She's okay. The wind in the BG doesn't look very windy though. I ran but of v01 which i use for skin shading while on her so she looks a little blotchy.

I was going to post my progress on my projects animatic but it failed to upload to youtube. So that will have to wait. :/ :/ :/

Another post with old stuff

---Spring 2007---

Class: Painting 1
Assignment: Paint a portrait of our professor (who posed for us) and use black, white, and a brown. This was our first painting. 18x24

Class: Panting 1
Assignment: Self-Portrait with Black, white, and a primary color. I used a photo of myself and painted a >:3 face on. A lot of people didn't understand why I painted that on there. But it actually relates to internet identity. and I like cats. SO. 24x18

Class: Painting 1
Assignment: Paint a still life using black, white, and complementary colors. I took a barbie-sized vespa and set a mirror up behind it with plastic wrap on the mirrior. A friend owns the original. 18x24

Class: painting 1
Assignemnt: Make a photo collage and paint it. ....Uhhh not much to say. 40x30

...all acrylics BTW.

Class: Drawing II
Assignment: Draw a fruit on a reflective surface using colored pencils.

Class: Drawing II
Assignment: We basically had to draw shadows then turn them into something using charcoal. It was pretty fun! This piece actually was in the student artwork show which ran from April-august 2007. It didn't win anything but I was happy it got in. My brother owns this piece.

Class: Digital Illustration (Adobe Illustrator)
Assihnment: Make a character and color it with the gradient mesh tool. I really love this piece. It was my best in that class (and the only surviving one, though i don't have the original :*( ). A print of it hangs in my parents house.

---November 2007---

This piece was for a cover design contest for our schools illustration magazine. I won and it was published for their fifth magazine. YAY!!! It looks nice as the cover which was printed at 8.5x11 so it was cropped a bit. Done in photoshop.

---Spring 2008---

For fun when classes were done. read the description for more info if you wish. Done in Flash and composed in iMovie.

TRIPPLE whammy

---Illuatration,Photoshop---

My characters Shelly and Riley.

I did these reference images of a few of my characters last summer. I just decided now to put them on one image so they might be slightly out-dated style wise. They are NOT to scale. Duke, Luke, Susie, and Logan are siblings (their parents are Riley and Shelly, wow!.
